The project development of Chelson Meadow is a collaborative partnership between Communities for Renewables (CfR) and Plymouth Energy Community. CfR and Plymouth Energy Community are working together to develop a 13MW solar farm on a council-owned former landfill site as a joint venture between Plymouth Energy Community and Plymouth City Council. CfR’s involvement includes management of:
- Technical and financial feasibility study (funded by the Rural Community Energy Fund)
- Grid connection application and agreement
- Construction contractor procurement
- Contract negotiation and management
- Commercial support including financing and PPA strategy
