CfR has been working with Devon Energy Collective, Regen and Als Parker (Wychwood Renewables) on the Devon Power Allotments project. The project involved crowd sourcing sites for village-scale ‘Power Allotments’ from communities across Devon. The response was overwhelmingly postive with 73 sites being submitted for feasibility assessments, showing communities want to generate their own power from the sun. Many of the sites were suitable for a village-scale solar farm but, disapointingly for those communities, grid connection and economic barriers block their way.
